One Class Workshop: Sustainable Communication Sustainable District Festival 2018

Palembang, July 23, 2018, Lingkar Temu Kabupaten Lestari (LTKL) held a One Class Workshop: Sustainable Communication at Batiqa Hotel Palembang. This communication workshop was attended by 25 participants from the staffs of Kominfo (Communication and Information Office) and Public Relations of the LTKL members, MUBA and Palembang Representatives, SAKA Pramuka Muba, youth communities and bloggers and vloggers in Palembang. The workshop was held in collaboration with One Class Indonesia and DigitalGov.ID.

The workshop aimed to harmonize the key messages of sustainable development carried out by the LTKL districts to be conveyed through various media. The workshop was not only a debriefing for participants but also as a forum for sharing information, ideas and good practices to encourage the realization of the vision of Sustainable District. In the initial session, participants were invited to gain knowledge related to sustainable development, innovation in multi-stakeholder networks including those that utilize collaboration between generations and how LTKL and its networks can support the implementation of sustainable development.

The workshop presented several inspiring speakers including Dicky Meiriando, Acting Head of the Musi Banyuasin Communication and Information Office, Rahyang Nusanatara representing SDSN Youth and Dessy Minarni Bonita and Yudho Bintoro Sandi representing the Youth activator of the Ministry of Finance. Each speaker explained how the roles of each sector in promoting the realization of a sustainable Indonesia. After that, the participants were invited to discuss on how the role of digital technology and the use of social media can support the achievement of the vision of sustainable district carried by LTKL.

Enda Nasution, a digital communication activist who was the keynote speaker said, "One of the interesting discussions at the One Class Communication Sustainable District Festival 2018 is to see the participants' interactions coming from districts from 3 different islands (Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi), each of which has different problems, but all eager to solve the problems that exist by utilizing digital technology, especially social media ".

The results of this workshop are expected to form a collaboration forum for all members of LTKL with a plan to work together to jointly manage the LTKL key messages through digital technology and their respective social media channels.

Fitria Anjelina, one of the One Class Communication participants who is the public relation team of Musi Banyuasin district added, "This communication class workshop is very useful for our public relation team in Musi Banyuasin. We learn a lot about practices and innovations from other districts, after this workshop we hope that we can collaborate with other LTKL district members in realizing the vision of sustainable district and introducing it through digital media. ".
