Masterclass of Sustainable Investment is a phased training program designed to support district governments and stakeholders in preparing investment portfolios based on real needs in the field. The commodity series is the first topic to be run starting in 2018, which is specifically intended to translate districts' investment needs in the process of transforming commodities that are considered strategic for the district. The 7 priority commodities are rubber, cocoa, coffee, spices, coconuts, non-timber forest products (HHBK) and palm oil.
The program participants are the district governments with a strong commitment to achieving the visions of a sustainable district, especially the founder and member of the Lingkar Temu Kabupaten Lestari (LTKL). At the end of the program, the investment portfolios will be presented in a forum consisting of prospective investors/buyers/partners who are ready to support the various types of investment needed by the district. The key elements of the sustainable investment portfolios that are prepared must contain aspects of (i) Sustainable Investment Plans, (ii) Key Performance Indicators, (iii) Supporting Policies & Regulations, and (iv) Investment Background Narratives. Regional Competitiveness Framework (KDSD) is a synthesis of national policies and market-based Frameworks such as (i) RSPO P & C, (ii) Global SDGs Indicator, (iii) RELIABLE - INOBU, (iv) Sustainable Landscape Rating Tools - CCBA and (v ) Verified Sourcing Area (VSA) for increasing the productivity of sustainable commodities, which are aligned with policies in the region. The main objective of KDSD is to simplify the process of measuring and reporting credibility claim of sustainable development by LTKL district members to available mechanism through a comprehensive framework agreed by global consensus.
The Regional Competitiveness Framework (KDSD) contextualizes the supply chain transformation of the related commodities (cocoa, coconut, oil palm, rubber, spices, coffee and non-timber forest products), which becomes an object of assessment to prove the credibility of local governments in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. In addition, credibility criteria are translated into several key elements - namely (i) Planning and Deciding the Objectives, (ii) Economic Resilience, (iii) Social Resilience, (iv) Environmental and Natural Resource Management, and (v) Incentives for communities in districts. The elements are included as five aspects which are summarized in 18 Indicators as a framework system to assess the district's development based on planning and management performance.
The 2019 & 2020 General Assembly of Members of LTKL has decided 5 (five) member districts that have voluntarily committed to become pioneer districts of the Regional Competitiveness Framework, namely Siak, Musi Banyuasin, Sintang, Gorontalo, and Aceh Tamiang. After several phases of public consultation, co-creation of indicators and finilazing the Means of Verification, we kick-started KDSD implementation on Q4 2020. So far, only 3 (three) districts had implemented the KDSD: Gorontalo, Sintang, and Siak District.
Implementor of KDSD is a multi-stakeholder forum consisting of district government, local NGO/CSOs, academias, and private sectors. Based on the agreement that each districts will for a core team and working team to implement KDSD.

The community livelihood program is a program to support sustainable narratives through sustainable culinary initiatives, sustainable souvenirs and sustainable tourisms in the LTKL districts. This program invites the community to participate in realizing the visions of a sustainable district in their respective district. This program is a real form of incentive for the community for the sustainable initiatives that they carry out.
The district members of LTKL has committed to increasing the competitiveness of their own region through this sustainable initiative. Exploring the food, drinks and processed products which raw ingredients come from the forest to providing sustainable tourism services are the keys to this program. The district's sustainable initiative is also an effort to improve the local economy in line with sustainable development.
The legal and policy program is responsible for analyzing various national regulations and policies and then arranging policy papers related to sustainable development which are currently being developed by the districts that are members of Lingkar Temu Kabupaten Lestari. Its duty is also to play an active role in conducting research on legal issues related to the visions and missions of the Lingkar Temu Kabupaten Lestari and act as a liaison with various interests in implementing frameworks and programs.
