Musi Banyuasin is a district with a series of awards, from 12 Piala Adipura to awards from the British government as a pioneer in implementing a zero-emission power plant. Awards were achieved thanks to the efforts to balance development with environmental preservations. Musi Banyuasin has great economic potentials, such as production forest area which covers almost 30% of the district area, as well as palm oil and rubber commodities that are ready to be developed. The diversity of ecosystems with their own biodiversity makes Musi Banyuasin a "jewel" of the South Sumatra Province.

Build a special airport for firefighting airplanes to make fire handling through airplanes more efficient. The aircraft can operate directly from the Airport that will be built in Muba, thus enabling a well-coordinated mobilization of assistance and cooperation between countries.
Build water reservoirs in enough sizes for water supply for firefighting airplanes, as well as for other purposes like as a water supply for agricultural areas or for the surrounding residents.
This plan will be related to the efforts to develop the Muba Center of Excellence in partnership with various organizations and institutions.
Implementation of the Palm Oil Replanting program to increase palm oil productivity. Muba has become one of the locations for the implementation of palm oil replanting which was done by the central government covering an area of ??6,000 ha led directly by the Indonesian president.
Development of Vocational Schools specified for the cultivation and management of palm oil plantations

Developing an Eco-Village concept that will integrate the development of environmentally friendly and cultural villages as a precursor to the development of ecotourism and food security in Muba.

Conservation and Restoration
Optimizing the restoration efforts of the Hope Forest managed by REKI Corp, where 51,000 ha are within the administrative area of Muba district.
Development of the Sekayu District Botanical Garden. The idea of ??developing this botanical garden is to protect the ecosystem of Sekayu lake and local germplasm while also developing a tourist destination in South Sumatra. The location of this educational and conservation tourist destination is only 4 hours away from Palembang. With the improvement of road infrastructure and transportation, it will be easier to reach this location

Muba plans to develop economic growth zones, such as ports, industries and world-class sports stadiums. The plan to develop the economic growth area is also expected to encourage the development of infrastructure such as roads, offices and communication and electricity facilities.
